  1. How do I register?
    You can register online by visiting our Registration Page (via the top navigation menu) or by calling the clinic office at 860-674-1500. When you register online you will receive a confirmation email and, if applicable, directions where to send your payment (if you did not pay with a credit card).
  2. What is the individual preregistration rate?
    The early registration coach rate is $175, if registered and paid in full by midnight on November 15, 2016. After November 16, 2016, the coach pre-registration rate is $195 - payment requested within two weeks of registration. Registrations after February 23, 2017 will be considered an "At-the-Door" Registration and charged at a rate of $215 per person. Our Student/Player registration rate is $79 for the entire event--that's less than half price (student/player rate remains the same for "At-the-Door" registrations).
  3. What do I receive as part of my clinic registration?
    Registration provides you with a credential the gives you full access to all the event coaches sessions as well as the Exhibitor Zone. As part of your registration, you will receive a credential with lanyard (you must wear this at all times to enter the clinic) and an event gift bag full of great soccer items! Your registration also entitles you to complimentary coffee on Friday and Saturday morning (while supplies last).
  4. Do you have special rates for groups?
    Yes, groups of 5 or more coaches are $170.00 per person. Students (under 18) are admitted for $79 and can be included in the group numbers although there is no discount for them.   5. What methods of payment does the event accept for Registration?
    The Soccer Champions Coaches' Clinics accept credit card payments online as well as checks via mail. The SCCC accepts the following credit cards - MasterCard, Visa and Discover. We no longer accept American Express credit cards.

  6. What level coaches can benefit from this event?
    Our goal is to provide coaches with the tools, insights and cutting edge education to become better coaches. We seek to offer a range of sessions that provide value to coaches of all levels - from youth coaches to premier travel coaches to high school coaches to college coaches. We select our presenters very carefully and develop a new clinic curriculum each year. We believe that coaches of all levels will benefit from attending the Soccer Champions Coaches' Clinic.
  7. Where does the clinic take place at Mohegan Sun?
    Registration takes place in the Mohegan Sun Convention Center's Prefunction Area and general sessions take place in the Mohegan Sun Center's Uncas Ballroom (we build a soccer field so that we can provide large-scale demonstrations with demonstrators that help to "paint a picture" of activities/concepts for our attending coaches). We also offer special break-out sessions that take place in the Upper Level Meeting Rooms of the Mohegan Sun Convention Center.
  8. Is there a different fee if I can only attend one day?
    We only offer the weekend rate of $195 (pre-registration pricing). However, both Friday and Saturday are full days so it may be worth attending just one day...
  9. Will I get a receipt for my payment so I can turn it in for reimbursement?
    When you register online, you will receive billing details (either completed or pending completion) for the clinic in your confirmation email. If your school needs further documentation, please email us at info@soccerchampionsclinic.com and we will send you a detailed invoice.
  10. What is your cancellation/refund policy?
    No refunds for 2017 event registrations will be given after February 1, 2017 (an administrative fee of $25 will be charged for refunds approved prior to Feb. 1, 2017). The event will NOT be cancelled for any reason, including in the event of inclement weather.
  11. Who is presenting and will they change?
    We have some of the top coaches in the world presenting at the 2017 Soccer Champions Coaches' Clinic - see the Presenters page on our website for details. Please be aware the presenters and program are subject to change.
  12. Does the cost of the clinic include meals while in attendance?
    The Soccer Champions Coaches’ Clinic does not provide meals to attendees. However, the Mohegan Sun features a broad range of eating places that are within easy walking distance of the Convention Center. The event has a partnership with Geno's Fastbreak Restaurant, which is located just outside the Convention Center doors, that offers all convention attendees a 15% savings on all food & beverage purchases during the three days of the event (just show your event credential to receive this special discount).
  13. Do you have any special hotel rates for attendees?
    Special hotel rates for the Soccer Champions Coaches’ Clinic are available at the beautiful Mohegan Sun Hotel (parking is complimentary and the hotel is attached to the Convention Center for easy access to the event) and the nearby Hyatt Place, Courtyard Marriott, Holiday Inn Norwich and Rosemont Suites. We encourage you to make your reservations early as these room blocks will sell out.   14. Is there a deadline to book a room by at the Mohegan Sun Hotel?
    Reservations made after February 9, 2017 will be provided on a space available basis and will be subject to current rates. Please note that the Mohegan Sun Hotel room block may sell out in advance of deadline so we encourage you to make your reservations early.
  15. Do I have to stay over all those nights to get the special rate, or can I just stay over one night?
    The dates listed are the dates that the special rate applies, you can stay over as many or as few nights as you'd like.
  16. How do I get to the Mohegan Sun?

  17. Is there transportation available from the Airport to Mohegan Sun?
    Yes! Transportation is available from both Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT and Providence Airport in RI. Please check with shuttle services in advance for more detail.
  18. Can you explain what the “E” License is?
    The “E” License is focused on delivering content and instructional methods relevant to coaching 9-12 year old soccer players. This course is intended to be the initial license serving as a stepping stone along the national course pathway. To obtain the “E” License, the coach will demonstrate three skills: competency in teaching methods necessary to effectively instruct technique and the application to the game; competency in organizing a complete appropriate training session for a soccer team in the basic stage of 9-12 year olds; and familiarity with the principles of attacking and defending as applied to a small sided game.
  19. Is there a fee for the “E” License?
    Yes, a $45 fee applies for this program. This is a significant savings from the regular fee for this program (usually a $60 course fee plus an additional fee for the testing facility and staff will apply).
  20. Which sessions are mandatory for the “E” License?
    “E” License candidates are REQUIRED to attend all of the clinic's general sessions on the event schedule, including the special “E” License sessions. Pre-event coursework will also be required. Attending the clinic is a great way to obtain your “E” License in just 3 days. The exact “E” License schedule will be posted on our web-site closer to the event, under the "“E” License" tab at www.SoccerChampionsClinic.com.
  21. Is there a test at the end of the program which is required to obtain your “E” License?
    Depending on the number of candidates participating, some “E” License candidates may be required to attend Post-Event Testing sites to complete their Practical Field Test component of the “E” License, while some candidates will take the test at the conclusion of the event at Mohegan Sun. More details will be provided to registrants via a mailing in advance of the event.
  22. How do I sign up to be an “E” License candidate?
    You MUST sign up in advance for the “E” License when you register for the clinic. If you are already registered and have decided to take the “E” License, please call our office IN ADVANCE of the clinic to sign up and pay the $45 fee. There will be no at-the-door registration for the “E” License as there is pre-course work required to complete the program. Information regarding the pre-course work will be provided to you in advance of the event. Please note that “E” License candidates are required to attend all CJSA scheduled courses in addition to those in the general clinic schedule in order to obtain the “E” License, as well as the required pre-course work and field test at the conclusion of the program.
  23. Can I take the “E” License program as well as one of the other NSCAA coaching diplomas offered at the Clinic?
    Due to scheduling conflicts, you are not able to take other NSCAA coaching diplomas at the same time as obtaining your “E” License. Sessions for both programs run simultaneously. Plan to attend our event next year to take advantage of other coach licensing opportunities!
  24. Can you explain with the NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma is?
    This six-hour course is directed towards the team coach - not the specialist goalkeeper coach. The object is to empower the coach with knowledge and practice methods that will enable the coach to evaluate a goalkeeper in game situations and then design an appropriate practice program for goalkeepers in and outside of team practices. The course includes lecture (theory) and field (practical) sessions.
  25. Is there a fee for the NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma?
    Yes, the cost to take this special licensing opportunity is $45. You can sign up for the course when you register for the clinic, or call our office at 860-674-1500 for assistance if you have already registered.
  26. Which sessions are mandatory for the NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma?
    We will post an event schedule closer to the dates of the clinic which will specify the courses you must attend in order to complete the NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 diploma.
  27. Is there a test at the end of the program which is required to receive the diploma?
    No, there is no test at the end of the NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 course. Although it is not required, you may be asked to participate in order to illustrate the instructors' sessions, so wear comfortable clothes and bring extra gear if necessary. We recommend you bring a water bottle, pen or pencil, notebook, fully inflated ball and running shoes or indoor soccer shoes.
  28. How do I sign up for the NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 diploma?
    You can sign up for the course when you register for the clinic by checking off the box entitled "NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma." If you have already registered for the clinic but would like to participate in this program, please call our office at 860-674-1500 to sign up.
  29. Can I take both NSCAA diploma courses?
    Due to scheduling conflicts, you are not able to take both NSCAA coaching diploma courses. Sessions for both programs run simultaneously. Plan to attend our event next year to take advantage of other coach licensing opportunities!
  30. When will the event's Exhibitor Zone be open?
    The Soccer Champions Coaches' Clinic Exhibitor Zone will be open on Friday and Saturday during regular clinic hours (starting at approximately 8AM). Several exhibitors - who are located in the Mohegan Sun Convention Center's Prefunction Area - will be open on Thursday evening.
  31. What type of soccer products will be available in the Exhibitor Zone?
    The clinic has more than 50 exhibitor booths, offering everything from soccer equipment (balls, shoes, goals, etc.) to uniforms to fundraising concepts to soccer camps/travel tours. It is a great way to see all the latest soccer equipment and soccer-related products. Many exhibitors offer special discounts on their products during the event.
  32. What happens if there is inclement weather during the clinic?
